Riverside Park was owned by Charles Deming and Frank Clark and situated on the West bank of the Wabash River near the bridge. It offered "a first-class cafe and bar and a lunch stand always open for boatmen, pearl hunters, shell men, fishermen, and pleasure seekers."

Rogers School

Not a postcard, this is an old photograph of Rogers School, Terre Haute. The back of this photo has a hand-written date of 1922. Apparently, the teachers' name was ernest and he was the father of whoever once owned this photograph.

Not a postcard, this is an old photograph of Rogers School, Terre Haute. This photograph has the hand-written note "Daddy's school at Rogers School - on stay 2 line to Sullivan. Terre Haute, Ind." The Sign behind the children reads "No Trespassing, Prosecution will Follow, By Order of Trustee J. Burnett"

I annot find anything at all about Rogers School.

Chauncey Rose

This unused postcard has an AZO stamp mark which dates it to between 1904 and 1918

Chauncey Rose was one of Terre Haute's greatest entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Rather than rehash what others have written about him here are some links to sites that describe the man and what he did for Terre Haute...
