The striking Home Economics Building was first
opened for use in 1956 and was the first college
building to be constructed off the original
quadrangle campus tract. Courses of study in home
economics prepare young women for a variety of
positions in the home economics area.

Industrial Education Building, Indiana State College
Terre Haute, Indiana
Originally constructed in 1915, this building was completely remodeled,
rehabilitated and reequipped in 1956. The building houses wood, metal, auto
mechanics, machine, printing, electricity-electronics, and foundry laboratories
and shops as well as classrooms for drawing and general instruction of
elementary industrial arts.

Opened in 1950, houses Departments of English,
Foreign Languages, Mathematics, Philosophy, and
Speech. In addition to regular classrooms, the
building has a 300-seat playhouse, a television
studio, radio studio, theatre make-up and scenery
rooms, and a foreign language audio laboratory.

Terre Haute, Indiana
With a collection of over 217,000 books, plus many
types of non-book materials, the College Library
regularly receives over 900 periodicals and 27
newspapers. It has a Teaching Materials Center,
Reserve Book Room, seminar and conference rooms,
specialized equipment for record listening and
microfilm viewing. The original building was
completed in 1910, but was remodeled when a six-
story addition was completed in 1957.

If you look at the image of the building you can see the inscription, near the roof-line, that still says "State Normal Library."

Officially dedicated in 1962, this building houses
a 5,500 seat Arena, gymnastic and wrestling rooms,
three general classrooms, an Olympic type swimming
pool, and indoor practice track, golf, baseball
area in basement, locker and training room facilities
and a suite of faculty offices.
